Our story
A family’s passion. A new expression.
Rooted in the Hosh family’s chocolate journey, which began in 1950. Reimagined through L’Étoile.

Before a brand, a love of chocolate.
L’Étoile belongs to a story that begins with the Hosh family. In 1950, the family entered the chocolate business, bringing together a love of chocolate and a dedication to the work behind it. That journey grew into PMC, the Jordanian chocolate producer behind L’Étoile.
For us, this heritage is more than a date. It is a connection between the people who develop a recipe and the people who enjoy it; between the care of a family business and the pleasure of a shared table. Our new identity gives that connection a distinct expression, while keeping its Jordanian roots in view.
1950 marks the beginning of the family’s chocolate business—not the founding date of L’Étoile.

Many forms. One love of chocolate.
Chocolate can be the centre of a celebration or a small pleasure in an ordinary day. L’Étoile brings that versatility to a collection of tablets, chips, callets and spreads—each with its own place at the table or in the kitchen.
Behind the collection is PMC’s experience across retail, catering and praline production. Its team develops, manufactures, packages and labels products at its own facility, bringing the different stages of a product’s journey together. The result is a broad chocolate vocabulary, from a filling or a finishing touch to a spoonful enjoyed slowly.
Explore the collectionThe people behind every detail.
Experience is shared, not held by one pair of hands.
PMC’s story describes a team working across research and development, manufacturing, packaging, quality assurance, warehousing, sales and marketing. Their knowledge connects the recipe to the finished product, with experience drawn from chocolate, pastry and catering.
That expertise matters in the details: understanding a texture, developing a filling, choosing a format and checking a product through production. L’Étoile’s presentation may be new, but the people and manufacturing knowledge behind it are part of a much longer story.
Our purpose
Make room for a little pleasure.
We want chocolate to feel considered: in its flavour, in its presentation and in the moment it becomes part of. Our ambition is to give the experience behind PMC a recognisable L’Étoile expression—one that is welcoming, distinctive and worth sharing.
Our outlook
From Jordan, with an open horizon.
Our roots are Jordanian, our welcome is international. PMC’s published story describes customers across more than 27 countries, through its brands, private-label work and retail and food-service partnerships. L’Étoile belongs to that wider experience, with availability in each market confirmed by our team.
What stays with us.
Care in the making
PMC describes quality checks throughout production and raw-material testing in its own laboratories. This attention to the process is part of the foundation behind the collection. For current certificates or technical requirements, our team can provide the relevant documentation.
An understanding of different needs
A chocolatier, a retailer and someone choosing chocolate for home do not all need the same thing. PMC’s approach brings flexibility to fillings, shapes and packaging. We begin with a conversation about the product and the occasion.
Responsibility beyond the product
PMC identifies environmental care and working conditions as part of its values. Its story specifically describes using solar energy to heat machinery. We carry that concern into the conversation about how chocolate is made—not only how it is presented.
